The Environmental Education Commission

The Environmental Education Commission is a registered charity that operates the Environmental Education Centre at Echo Pond (also known as the Brother Brennan Centre). This is a camp in the wilderness off of Salmonier Line on the Avalon Peninsula. Over the last 35 years thousands of Newfoundland children have stayed there for their environmental school programs or their summer camps. The children spend most of their time outdoors exploring nature, having fun, enjoying campfires, learning how to take care of the environment and connecting their classroom learning with the real world.
