A message from Steers Insurance

The unprecedented spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Canada and around the world has, understandably, raised concerns for you and your family. At Steers Insurance, the well-being of our clients, our employees and each of your families is a significant concern for us. As such, safety will be our main priority as this situation continues to evolve.

We are ready to serve you

We want to ensure our valued clients, like you, do not see any significant impact to the continuity of our service during these extraordinary times. While we have not yet had to take such action, our staff has the ability to work remotely from home with full telephone access and connectivity to our cloud-based computer servers. Thankfully, almost all of our customer communications are already managed by phone and email so, while we hope it doesn’t come to that, we are ready.

If you need us, we’re here

We are in the business of protecting you, your family and your business, and we need to continue to do that as long as this crisis lasts, so:If you have any changes to make to your policy continue to call any of our offices or your account representative directly. If you need to look up your servicing office or representative, please refer to the contact page on our website.

If you have a claim, you can continue to reach out, as always, to your account representative but we also encourage you to report your claim directly to your insurance company. Insurance company claims contact information can be found on the Report a Claim page of our website.

If you need to pay a bill, we encourage you to send an Interac eTransfer to eTransfer@steersinsurance.com or, if you require an alternate payment option, your account representative has a number of other options to facilitate you making your payment.

Actions we are taking to keep us all a safer

We are taking steps to help reduce the spread of this disease and protect our clients, our staff and their families. These proactive measures include:

  • We are requesting our clients and our suppliers to refrain from visiting our offices as we need to limit in-person interactions to the extent possible.
  • We are requesting, whenever possible, that you connect with your account representative in a method that is safe for everyone – we are always here for you by phone or email. 
  • We have suspended all work travel until we receive appropriate direction from the authorities that such travel is safe once again.
  • Any employee traveling from outside the province will automatically work from home for 14 days.
